释文：曾称铯榴石。成分Cs〔AlSi2O6〕·H2O。含氧化铯 23.5%～36.5%。

等轴晶系。晶体呈立方体与四角三八面体的聚形，少见；通常呈致密块状集合体。无色透明。玻璃光泽。硬度6.5～7。断口贝壳状。密度2.86～2.90克/厘米^3。

产于花岗石和伟晶岩中，与锂云母、锂辉石、叶钠长石等共生。

是目前已知的含铯最多的矿物，为提取铯和制取铯盐的重要矿石矿物。
