汉中市群众艺术馆成立于1974年，是国家设立的公益性群众文化事业机构，国家地市级二级文化馆。

主要职责

1、承担全市群众文化活动(含音乐、舞蹈、美术、书法、摄影、文学等艺术门类)的组织、辅导、研究、示范，创作及全民艺术普及和免费开放工作;

2、负责全市的非物质文化遗产调查、征集收藏、研究、保护展示弘扬工作。
