沙仑线是连接台湾铁路管理局中洲车站与台湾高铁台南站的传统铁路支线，2011年1月2日正式通车，亦为自1992年南回线开通以来，台湾铁路再次新筑路线。沙仑线开通后，大幅减少高铁至市中心旅行时间（公路约需40~50分钟、铁路约20分钟）。
