《黄冈年鉴》（2008年卷）出版发行。在继承和发扬历卷年鉴编经验的基础上，紧贴黄冈市改革发展实际，在“交通”和“城乡建设”栏新增了6家撰稿单位。同时，进一步充实了“黄冈概况”、“人民生活”等栏目内容。
