戈达德太空研究所(GISS)位于纽约哥伦比亚大学，是美国国家航空航天局地球太阳探险分支的部门实验所，是哥伦比亚大学地球机构的一个单位。

戈达德太空研究所的近期一系列的研究强调全球气候变化。罗伯特·哥达德太空研究所由贾斯特罗(Robert Jastrow)于1961年五月成立目的是做一些太空科学基本搜集去支援戈达德计划。之后，它被称为戈达德太空飞行中心太空研究所(the Goddard Space Flight Center Institute for Space Studies)，但很快就被普遍地称作戈达德太空研究所(the Goddard Institute for Space Studies)。戈达德太空研究所现在由韩森(James Hansen)监督。
