浅黄色黏稠油状液体，有刺激性氨味。沸点187～211℃(666.5Pa)。相对密度0.9800～1.000。黏度(80℃)32～34mPa·s，25℃时87mPa·s。闪点>180℃。燃点>210℃。折射率1.5400～1.5450。微溶于沸水，易溶于醇、醚、烃等大部分有机溶剂。由松香酸催化氨化先制松香，再加氢制得。用作润滑剂的添加剂，木材防腐剂，在工业水处理中用作缓蚀剂、杀菌灭藻剂，在污水系统作污泥剥离剂。
