不久事败，愍王意疑孟尝，孟尝君乃奔。魏子所与粟贤者闻之，乃上书言孟尝君不作乱，请以身为盟，遂自宫门以明孟尝君。愍王乃惊，而踪迹验问，孟尝君果无反谋，乃复召孟尝君。
