陡塘桥位于慈溪市观海卫镇的省历史文化保护区鸣鹤古镇内，与运河、沙滩二桥一起，从东往西依次跨立在横贯古镇的东横河上。陡塘桥东距杜湖不足三十米。

文化背景

清人叶元有诗曰：“腰塘杨柳科任风飘，抵拂寻春小女。五磊石湫游遍后，夕阳红近陡塘桥。”

1986年7月慈溪县人民政府将陡塘桥列为第一批文物保护点。
