老秃山，海拔266米，即上浦防东山，位于战线西部扼守通往汉城的要道。因双方反复争夺，致使山上草木皆无、一片焦土而得名。美军称PorkChopHill。1953年，中国人民志愿军第中国人民解放军第四十七集团军第141师第423团从美军步兵第7师手中攻占并坚守住此山。
