康熙九年(1670)置庐凤道，驻凤阳府（治所在今安徽凤阳县），领庐州府、凤阳府。雍正二年(1724)增领州、州、泗州、六安州；十二年(1734)增领滁州、和州；十三年 (1735)亳州降为散州；咸丰五年(1855)安庆府来属。同治四年(1865)安庆府、庐州府、滁州、和州另属，更名凤颍六泗道；光绪三十四年(1908)庐州府、滁州市、和州来属，更名皖北道。1913年废。
