John Ruskin即约翰·拉斯金。

约翰·拉斯金（John Ruskin又译作约翰·罗斯金，1819～1900），拉斯金兴趣爱好涉猎的范围很广，他不仅是英国作家、艺术家、艺术评论家，还是哲学家、教师和业余的地质学家。1843年，他因《现代画家》（Modern Painters）一书而成名，书中他高度赞扬了约瑟夫·玛罗德·威廉·特纳（J. M. W. Turner）的绘画创作，这以及其后的写作总计39卷，使他成为维多利亚时代艺术趣味的代言人。
