四川省诗书画院是我国以研究和创作中国画艺术为主的省级画院。画院作为精神文明建设的基地，以画院为中心团结了我省老、中、青书画家。贯彻“百花齐放、百家争鸣”、“古为今用，洋为中用、推陈出新”和“文艺为社会主义服务，为人民服务”的方针。培养和造就了一批在当今画坛具有一定影响的书画家，同时，也为社会产生了一批能反映中华民族精神风貌的优秀作品。
