中嗜杆菌属（Mesophilobacter）为假单胞菌目假单胞菌科的一属好氧或兼性厌氧发酵型革兰氏阴性杆菌。此属的模式种也是唯一种为海中嗜杆菌(Mesophilobacter marinus)。中嗜杆菌属是一种常见的细菌，分离自海水中。

形态特征

中嗜杆菌属的细菌形态多样，大小约为0.5～0.6μm×1.0～2.0μm。在幼龄培养物中，可出现膨胀型(0.8～1.0μm×1.5～3.0μm)和延长型(1.5μm以上)；在老培养物中则出现类球细胞(直径0.6～0.9μm)。细胞革兰氏染色阴性，无荚膜，不运动。

生活习性

中嗜杆菌属的细菌氧化酶和接触酶皆阳性，中等嗜盐。最适温度是33～37℃，5℃能生长，而0℃不生长。好氧，具有严格呼吸代谢型。抗青霉素。
