1978年正殿后增建观音楼(双层)。 1980年公布为县级文物保护单位。 1990年正殿前增建天王殿。

含光寺　位于连江县敖江镇斗门山，又名斗门寺。明万历间建，清乾隆六年(1741年)重修，光绪间重建，民国四年(1915年)重修。座东向西，门开于南墙；殿建于1米高的台基上，中为正殿，面阔3开间，进深用3柱，穿斗式木构架，硬山顶，两边为厢房，面积800平方米。
