明兴，富察氏，满族，满洲镶黄旗人。他的职业生涯始于笔贴式授保定市同知，后历任热河省同知、天津府知府、直隶布政使、山东巡抚、工部侍郎和山西省巡抚。他在乾隆五十六年（1791年）去世。

明兴，由笔贴式授保定同知，历任热河同知、天津府知府、直隶布政使，乾隆四十九年（1784年）升山东省巡抚，乾隆五十二年（1787年）任工部侍郎，很快又奉命督办山东河道疏浚事宜，不久又调任山西巡抚。乾隆五十六年（1791年）卒。
