此村因原为京西明代帝王早殇之子的墓地而得名。据在西小府出土的《皇明悼隐王志》载：“悼隐王为崇祯第二子，于崇祯二年十二月初三自宫中皇后周氏生，当即逝，崇祯帝甚悼惜。 ”此村曾先后出土早夭“王爷”坟数座，西小府之名即源于此。

位于石景山区中部。面对永定河引水渠，背靠翠微册，东起雍王府，西至福寿岭。
