周口店区为北京市旧行政区划名，位于今北京市房山区周口店镇境内。

历史沿革

1952年设立周口店区，1958年撤销房、良两县并连同京西矿区并入周口店区，1960年改房山县，1980年析设燕山区，与房山县分治。1986年，撤销房山县、燕山区，设立房山区（1987年1月实施），以燕山区和房山县的行政区域为房山区的行政区域。以著名的遗址“周口店遗址”而得名。
