触毛目(Thigmotrichida)的原生动物，寄生在双壳类软体动物的鳃或外套腔内。身体的前端有长纤毛，用以附著宿主体内。口孔开于后端；有些属，如角毛虫属(Goniocoma)和全毛虫属(Holocoma)的口孔被前吸触手所代替。
