小行星1001，也被称为高斯星（1001 Gaussia），是以德国数学家卡尔·弗里德里希·高斯命名的小行星。1923年8月8日，苏联天文学家谢尔盖·贝利亚夫斯基在克里米亚半岛的西梅伊兹天文台发现了这颗小行星。高斯星是一颗位于小行星带外部的暗背景小行星，直径约为73公里。
