郭宣，字宣之，阳曲县（今山西太原）人。东晋义熙四年（408），郭宣之为汉中市刺史杨思平司马。

郭宣，字宣之，太原阳曲（今山西太原）人。杨以事害范元之等下狱，宣亦同被梏，唯一心归向观世音，昼夜敬念菩萨名号。一夕将眠时，忽睹菩萨现形，光明照狱，因叩头恳祷，久之乃没。未几，宣独蒙恩赦。乃绘所见慈容，并立寺院，供养终其身。
