高阳村委会位于湛江市麻章镇西北面，北面与遂溪县交界，西南面与湖光农场相毗邻，辖下三条自然村，包括高阳村、符竹村、大鹏村，总人口1823人，全村委耕地面积4852亩，其中水稻田2163亩，村民主要以种植甘蔗、水稻为主。

2007年人均纯收入为5500元。3条自然村均是革命老区村庄，符竹村于1990年被评为湛江市文明村，高阳村于2004年被评为湛江市文明村。
