陵江中学毕业后，就读于湖南警官学校。毕业后，在国民革命军第三十六军任职。1927年，参加革命，从事农民运动。大革命失败后，积极组织武装斗争，任萍乡游击营第三连连长。1928年1月29日，在攻打腊市的战斗中，英勇牺牲。
