陈大年，男，生卒不详，字了山，清黄冈市（今新洲区）县人，陈肇昌长子。清康二十九年（1690）中顺天副榜，授徐沟知县，因圣祖康熙帝亲征噶尔旦，其筹措粮车辆尽职尽责，迁乐清市知县。在任修建堤闸及塘堰各数处，开垦旧地五千余亩，升邓州市知州。所辖之处，教民修没沟洫，植桑养蚕，致富一方，受民爱戴。清光绪黄州府志有传。
