梁德县是现信宜市的前身。

南梁天监六年（508）置，为梁德郡治所，故治在今广东信宜市池洞镇同古村，后移太安村。隋开皇九年（公元583年），属泷州。隋开皇十八年（公元598年）梁德县改为公主岭市。
