四库提要

明顾潜撰。潜字孔昭，昆山市人，弘治丙辰进士，官至直隶提学御史，以伉直尚书刘宇，宇谗之於刘瑾，出为马湖知府，未任罢归。是集凡诗六卷，文八卷，俱平正朴实，不事修饰，盖当时风气类然。《苏州府志》称：所著尚有《读史新知》、《林下记闲》、《湖醉韵》、《惇史》、《梦林》等集。方鹏《序》，又称其有《稽古治要》若干卷，盖亦多所著述者，今皆不可见矣。
