醋热菌属（学名：Acetothermus）为拟杆菌目拟杆菌科的一属厌氧革兰氏阴性直杆菌。该菌属生长要求酵母粉，特别是维生素B12，能发酵葡萄糖和果糖产生乙酸、CO2和 H2，其他的糖均不利用。此属的模式种也是唯一种为少食醋热菌(Acetothermus paucivorans)。

形态特征

醋热菌属的细胞在适量的维生素B12存在时，大小为0．5 μm×5～8μm，当维生素B12不存在时形成长丝状(>50μ m)，不产芽孢，不运动。

生态环境

醋热菌属的菌种常分离于在60℃左右的污物消化液。其脱氧核糖核酸的G+C 摩尔％是62。
