中国电影华表奖优秀新人是华表奖主要奖项之一。第4届（1998年）始设电影新人奖，涵盖导演、编剧、男女演员。 2004年新的《中国电影华表奖评选章》出台后，优秀新人奖拆分为优秀青年导演、优秀青年编剧、优秀新人男/女演员，并对年龄做了严格的规定，导演要求35岁以下，演员在30岁以下（饰演主角），并且此前本人及其作品未获得重要电影奖项。
